Who to contact
Singapore Global Network (SGN), a division of the Singapore Economic Development Board, hosts the Fintech Hackathon with LSE Generate. For questions or requests about this portal, email hello@singaporeglobalnetwork.sg with “Fintech Hackathon privacy” in the subject, or contact the event host on Luma. SGN’s published data protection contact is at Singapore Economic Development Board, 250 North Bridge Road, #28-00, Raffles City Tower, Singapore 179101.
What we collect and why
- Project entries: title, chosen problem area, description, demo URL, each team member’s name and LinkedIn URL, and submission time. We use these to administer the hackathon and let invited judges assess entries.
- Judging: a judge’s sign-in identifier, name and email address, scores, comments and review time. We use these to restrict judge access, track reviews and calculate results.
- Technical information: the hosting and sign-in services may process request and security data needed to run the site and protect it from abuse.
We rely on our legitimate interest in running and judging the event, maintaining the security of the portal and answering related questions. We do not use the submission form to add team members to a marketing list.
Who can see it
Project entries and team profiles are available to the event team and invited judges through the restricted judging portal. Scores and comments are available to the event team and the judge who wrote them. Entries are not listed publicly on this site. The portal’s hosting, database and judge sign-in providers process information to deliver these services.
Demo videos remain on Loom or YouTube and LinkedIn profiles remain on LinkedIn. Following those links is subject to those services’ own privacy notices. Registration takes place on Luma under its separate notice.
Team members
If you submit another person’s name and LinkedIn profile, tell them first and share this notice. Do not include private customer records, account credentials or sensitive financial details in the entry or demo.
Retention and location
We keep entries and reviews for judging and event follow-up, then review them for deletion when those purposes are complete. Event team members and service providers may access or process data outside the UK. You can ask the event host for more detail about the relevant providers and any international transfer safeguards.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to restrict its use. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights depend on the circumstances. Contact the event host using the links above and tell us which entry or judge account your request concerns. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
See our cookie policy and participation terms. SGN publishes a separate privacy statement for its main website.
