Event information / Participation
Before you build.
The practical terms for entering, sharing a demo and having it judged.

Taking part
The hackathon is open to everyone. You do not need to be an LSE student. Register through Luma to attend and see the venue address. The event is an after-work session in London on 13 October 2026. Programme details and any prizes will be announced by the organisers if confirmed.
Your project and demo
You and your team keep ownership of the work you create. Submitting an entry gives the event team and invited judges permission to view its description, team details and linked demo for administering and judging this event. It does not transfer your ownership to an organiser or sponsor.
Only submit material you are allowed to share. A Loom or YouTube demo must be accessible to the judges without an access request. You can use any tools, but their licenses and terms still apply. Use test or synthetic data in prototypes; do not upload real customer financial information, passwords or other confidential information to the portal or demo.
Judging and limits
Judges score projects against the published criteria: real-world impact, originality, execution and craft, and trust and responsibility. A working prototype is a demonstration, not a financial product or professional financial advice. Participation and a score do not imply that the organisers or sponsors endorse a project or guarantee any later opportunity.
Other services and personal details
Luma, LinkedIn, Loom, YouTube and any tools you choose have their own terms. Tell teammates that their names and LinkedIn profiles will be shared with the event team and invited judges, and give them the privacy notice. For questions about the event, contact the host on Luma.
